Neil Diamond surprises crowd with rare ‘Sweet Caroline’ performance no one saw coming

One of the finest musicians of all time is Neil Diamond. He consistently sold out musical halls for almost 50 years before he sadly announced his retirement in 2018 owing to difficulties from Parkinson’s illness.
“I regretfully announce my retirement from concert traveling with much difficulty. In a statement released at the time through PEOPLE magazine, Diamond said, “I have been very pleased to present my performances to the general audience for the past 50 years. “Thanks to you, this ride has been’so good, so good, so good.’”
Diamond hasn’t performed in public since, with the exception of a few unexpected appearances.
The most recent came on the opening night of the Broadway musical based on his life, “A Beautiful Noise,” which took place just before his 82nd birthday.
Diamond entered the venue to a standing ovation after making the red carpet walk with his family. He took a seat and was given a microphone.
He was anticipated to speak briefly, but nobody could have predicted what came next.
See Neil Diamond lead the audience in one of the most popular songs of all time.
